Providence restaurant week - Gracie's

Gracie's was great. Awesome service -- the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive yet non-obtrusive. House Made Potato Gnocchi, the fish dish, and the banana cake were all delicious. Wine pairings were spot-on. Chef even came out to chat on a busy night. We are going on Thusday again to try the other dishes -- the heirloom tomatoes plate and the duck especially.

What I Iove is that they are genuinely happy that you are there -- and they try to make you happy with great food, service, and also little treats that they bring you in between courses. Some places (XO Cafe for instance) treat RW customers like cheap trash unworthy of their (mediocre) food and (lousy and pretentious) service. RW or not, Gracie's always treats you well and delivers consistently good food.

Perhaps slightly off-topic (especially given my distaste for all Elkhay establishments), but the best service I've ever had in PVD was at XO.
