Matto in East Hampton

Dined at Matto with friends over the weekend. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Very disapointed. If you are looking for excellent Italian, try Cittanova

My husband and I had dinner at Matto a few weeks ago and did not care for the food at all. There are much better Italian restaurants to dine at in the Hamptons.

I wouldn't say that Matto is Fantasico- It's ok- Let's not get crazy here. Matto has a prefixe menu on it's website and when I asked about it on a recent visit the waitress knew nothing about it. Then why is the prefixe menu on the website?

Have also dined at Matto & Cittanova and have enjoyed my meals at both. I would not say that one is far better than the other. If you want a nice glass of wine, salad and some pasta either one would be fine and they both have outdoor seating.

I've had the pizza and it was excellent, havent tried anything else yet. For the BEST Italian in the area drive over to Sag Harbor and go to IL Capuccino, you won't be disappointed!
