i'm taking friends out who love brasserie food and in particular mistral. i recall it is always very good, but haven't been for a while. i really like comme ca lately....although do think that mistral has a more authentic look. so hounds...which is the better choice? thx.

I personally feel the looks have comparability, yet do not look the same. comme ca is more up to date, while Mistral looks the same as it did for the past 20 years with the black and white linoleum floors, the bar, the white tablecloths, and the finest all-around waitstaff in the valley. Food is good, yet seldom changes except in price, and represents reliability.
Both are very noisy btw!
