Stopping for lunch on the way to Quebec

Hello-
I'm going to Quebec via I-91 in VT. It looks like St. Johnsbury may be a good bet for lunch. Any suggestions? Are there any other places you might suggest. I would love to find a place that features fresh local food.

If you're looking for something quicker, we really like the Miss Lyndonville Diner, which is just north of St. Johnsbury. Very good, honest food, friendly staff, cheap and quick, to get you on your way!

its farther south, but if your in the vicinity of quichee around lunch the restaurant at simon pierce has been great the two times i was there (a few years ago).

I'll second Simon Pearce, it's a really special place, and Quechee is just a couple miles off Exit 1 of I-89, not far out of your way at all. This place is worth it.

I have not been yet, but can say I've heard really good things about Dylan's Cafe in St. Johnsbury. It's located right downtown on Railroad Street.
Another great restaurant in StJ is Elements-I don't think they serve lunch, but it may be worth a call to check.
