July 14 Bastille Day

In celebration of today's French holiday, are there any special lunches or dinners being offered? I know there's an annual street fair on East 60th Street but is there anything else?

Do a search. Bastille Day is a pretty specific search term: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/534155

Provence in Soho does an annual bash with live music, streamers and petanque (like bocce ball) out on the street.

Bourdain has had nothing whatever to do with Les Halles for many years.
As far as the food goes, in my view, it's barely mediocre. Service is poor, the seating would make a sardine scream in discomfort, and the noise level is horrendously high.

The annual 60th St. celebration took place yesterday.

RGR, ditto for the location on John Street. It used to be good, I gave up after continued inconsistency. Would love a reason to give it another try if any hounds have different or more recent experiences. I did read a post this year describing a good meal and experience at the midtown/uptown Les Halles location.

Les Halles is terrible. Don't go there or any other restaurant in FiDi for that matter.

And yeah, Provence closed a while back.
