Any suggestions for Bergen, Norway?
I'll be in Bergen, Norway for a few days in August. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great place to eat? I'm looking for cheap, expensive, casual, formal -- anything and everything.
Thank you in advance...

Been there many times and, while I'm sure you've heard about the Bergen Fish Market, it's definitely where I eat a lot of my meals. I'm not a big fan of the sit-down places there, except for the atmosphere, but the sandwiches at the stalls and the fish-and-chip places are as good as anything I've had in the world.
You've probably been warned about prices but, even so, expect them to be staggering. I wouldn't be surprised if a simple open-faced sandwich was $12-$15 and an order of fish $20 or more at current rates. Supermarkets, located in the basements of large malls and department stores, are a good way to save a few dollars and some have delis with some decent hot food.
And try to stay in places that serve breakfast since they usually have buffets with a good selection of Norwegian fish, cheese, meats and other stuff.
