Running short on ideas...

I'm having a party the night of the opening ceremonies for the Olympics, and since I have some left-over mandarin-infused everclear from an experimental "mandarincello" batch, I decided to make up an "Olympic Flame" flaming cocktail (more of a shot, really).
I've been kicking around some ideas for what's under that thin layer of everclear and none have really grabbed me (plus I'm generally ignorant about cocktails). I don't want anything too high-octane (or maybe I can have a "virgin" option as well). Yet, orange juice and grenadine seem somehow not enough (although the visual effect is a no-brainer).
Any opinions/ideas would be gratefully received.

What about an infused vodka that would keep you in the color spectrum. Perhaps Meyer Lemon or Peach or Mango, something like that. You could then have (bottom up) Infused Vodka:Orange Juice:Grenadine with the Everclear float on the very top.

Thanks. I'll take a stab at this.

If you want to keep with an asian idea, then perhaps some baiju is in order. You should be able to find some sort or another at a local store. I highly suggest you try it before you hand it out as it is strong stuff. If that isn't quite what you're looking for, then perhaps the bottom doesn't have to be alcoholic. Would this work if you put something carbonated on the bottom? Blood Orange Soda? Or even pomegranate soda.

I don't know about s/t carbonated on the bottom... I'd actually thought about it (I've been playing with Bitter Lemon lately), but imagined that the carbonation may present a problem for the burning. Can't hurt to try, I imagine. The blood orange soda may be worth a try; thanks.
