Tacos de Cochinita in Boyes Springs

Picking my son up from soccer practice this a.m., I noticed a couple of guys setting up a small cart just north of the Fruit Basket, on Hwy. 12. On the way back we stopped to investigate. Just as we arrived one of them was hanging a cardboard sign that read "Tacos de Cochinita" It was 10:30, which seemed like the perfect time for a few tacos, so we ordered 5 to go.

The tacos were topped with some pickled red onion, and dab of thin, yellow salsa ( which had a fruity, and substantial kick) . The pork was melt-in-your mouth tender, I haven't been to the Yucatan, but these were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time - further, it's not something I've ever seen in these parts. A fine addition to our little Taco Row here, and one I hope returns.

Wow ... a Yucatan taco truck. Great find. Sounds like that yellow sauce was habenero. Any other trucks that you recommend on taco row?
