Nothing I can say about the food hasn't already been covered on here. But we were in from 6:30 - 7:30 on a Friday evening and we were the only people in there the whole time. For all I know, business could be booming during the weekdays, at lunches or whatever. But the combination of great food, wonderful hosts and an empty restaurant made me suspect differently and want to post up this reminder.
Did they have any wine/beer on the menu? It was reported here that they had lost their liqour license awhile ago and I thought that would be the end of them. It really is a wonderful place and they are so gracious. I think they may occaisionally do a decent business with dances/special nights for the African expat community.
I find it hard to believe that anyone has ever eaten there in the last three years! Every single time I go by on the bus, morning, afternoon, or evening there is NEVER, one single car in the parking lot! Unless there hours are from 4 to 9 p.m there is no way that place is ever open! You would expect at least the employees working there would have their cars in the parking lot but not one! Even if they all carpooled there would be at least ONE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT at 3:15 p.m in the afternoon! Does all of the employees and customers walk to this place? That is the only explanation I can think of why there is NEVER ANY CARS IN THAT PARKING LOT!
