Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Hawaii (inc Honolulu, Oahu and Maui)

Any vegetarian cooking classes in Oahu?

Aloha all,
I am moving to Hawaii Kai on Oahu in two weeks!!! I am a vegetarian and would love to take some cooking classes -- I need to learn some veggie friendly recipes or my husband will soon reject veggie burgers and go back to meat and I would love to meet some new people.

Any suggestions?

    1. You might check at Kokua Co-op and at Down to Earth. both cater to that crowd, they would probably know as much as anyone what is going on in the "healthy eating world"

          Also check out the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii (http://www.vsh.org/index.html
          )They have some cooking and lecture classes.

            2. Down to Earth offers free cooking classes on the 1st Saturday of every month at their Honolulu location. My teenage son is vegetarian and he loves the class and instructors. I noticed the posts date back to 2008. Sorry so late but for anyone else searching for classes, this is one I recommend.
