All-Clad cookware: new handles?

I have about 15 pieces of all clad stainless that I bought, mostly around 2000-2001. Today, I decided to add a 3 qt saucier to my collection because I had a 20% off coupon that a local cooking store said they'd honor on all clad pieces.

What a disappointment!!

Somewhere in the last 8 years, it appears that they changed the handle design. Basically, they decreased the thickness of the metal that forms the loop handle by 1/3 to 1/2. The old handles felt very comfortable in my hand. The new handles dig into my hand and are very uncomfortable.

Clearly some dipshit in accounting thought they could save a few bucks by using less material in the handle and noone would notice.

I noticed.

Hope that buck or two you saved on manufacturing costs was worth it. I don't be buying anymore of your stuff.
