Help! I added too much smoke flavoring...

I made a tasteful soup from accumulated leftovers. Chicken, red beans and rice, tomatoes and steeped them in homemade chicken and vegetable stocks. Alas...I used a tad too much of a pinch of smoked sea salt. Is there anyway to camaflouge the smoke a little?

    Did you mean to post this on the Home Cooking Board? I think this one is for technical issues about the site. For your problem, do you have any more stock? I would ladle some broth out and replace it with fresh. Sounds yummy!

      Thanks for replying, Actually just joined Chowhound looking for someplace to ask for help. I have been lookinjg around for over an hour for a place to post and this was all I saw. How do I navigate and find where to post? And thanks for the suggestion. I do have a little frozen stock left. I'd just hate to dilute everything.

            Wow that's interesting. But too late, my husband tasted it before I diluted it with more stock and so he is done. It is not alot of fun being an adventurous cook and being married to a fussy eater. Thanks anyway.

              What? Your husband tasted it and will now refuse a corrected version (fussy) or already ate it all as is (not fussy)?? Anyway, how about adding more rice or a cubed potato and cooking a bit longer?

                Yes he is so fussy. His palate has been ruined. He prefers fast food. Worse than a child. Anyhow...I fixed it enough for me, now I just have to be in the mood for it, s it is frozen in serving portions. Thanks everyone.
