Dinner at Cinghiale

Am planning to dine at Cinghiale with hubby tonight. Any recommendations as to selective ordering? Am a bit leary on going as we did not care too much for Pazo when we went several months ago. The tables were too close together and way too small. Hated the stemless wine glasses as the bowl was too large to pick up with one hand. Also, my hesitation is based on the fact that I asked Hubby where he wanted to go and he suggested Caesar's Den. I like Caesar's, but hate the parking situation, especially on a Saturday evening and am a bit tired of the same old Italian food offered in Little Italy. We also like Sotto Sopra, but I am eager to try a new venue.

We do like Cindy and Tony's Charleston very much, as well as Le Petite Bistro. That is the reason I want to at least give Cinghiale a try and hope that 3 out of 4 good experiences are odds in our favor.

Anyhow, since I overrode my husband's suggestion, I hope that I made the right decision. Hope you Chowhounds can help me out and steer me in the right direction. Thanks, FoiGras

Tables and sound levels much better at C. Really nice decor. Service is attentive, perhaps too much so. Great salumi, esp the finnocchiona. Pastas are exc, esp the sausage and the maccheroni. Secondi not quite as good, but still a good bit above average. Superb desserts. It's my favorite resato in B-nore both for personal dinners and when I am on an expense account (my group used to go to SS when taking someone out but now we're all in favor of C. (our bursar wont pay for Charleston.)
