We visited a few times, but only bought stuff once or twice, and that was some gelato. All the pre-opening hype and it lasted less than a year.
I could not imagine the overhead it takes to run a place like Dish. My two visits didn't impress me enough to drive out of my way to visit. Maybe the parking lot was another problem - that's a tough place to get in and out of quickly.
I agree. Stopped in twice and thought it was just okay. If I lived within a mile, I maybe would've stopped more. But it wasn't worth driving further than that.
I'm sad, but not that sad. I live 10 or 15 minutes away but only stopped in a few times. Had 2 good to very good dinners in the evening when they offered table service, and 2 or 3 mediocre experiences buying expensive food in the market. Once I found Andreoli, I didn't go back to Dish much...
That sucks. While I was equally never wowed by the fare (it was ok/decent) I did like the concept and appreciate that the owners wanted to try something new/different. Props to them for experimenting.
I have to say, I'm kind of bummed. The sandwiches were good. I did like those baguettes and the sea salt roast beef with all the options. It was within range for a work lunch too. . . Pre-prepared was kind of pricey, but good with the kids, because I could do a half scoop of this and a scoop of that. Nice to have something a little metro style as well.
