Wow this sounds wonderful. Bummed that they have such limited hours, I don't think I can make it down there with those limited hours. One of these days...

Love love LOVE this place! Hands down the best salads in LA. No contest!!!!!!!
NEW menu, too (that fab noho sausso sambo is still avail) They have this new portobello mushroom sandwich (opt for their home-baked whole wheat ciabatta) that I rave about here:
Here's my original review, too:

Definitely worth a try foodwise, with a couple of caveats ...
This is really just a take-out place, don't plan to eat there. The two or three tables are invariably taken up with people waiting for orders.
During the lunch period, it takes them at least twenty minutes to fill even the simplest of orders. I think it's strange they don't have a website with a takeout menu (they aren't even on menupix), since this is one place you *really* want to phone in your order in advance. (Call them, they can probably fax you a menu.)

definitely some good stuff here. given you live so close, i'm surprised you haven't yet been. they have great salads and sandwiches. my best friend loves the juice called "The Fighter." try the albacore tuna salad, good earth salad or mediterranean soy. my friend loves the maple glazed salmon (i dont do salmon so i wouldn't be able to comment), but i like the tandoori chicken, as well as the macrobiotic veggie patty (i forget if it's a burger bc i can't eat the bun). sandwich wise both the real mccoy and grilled veggie sammies are tasty, and my mom loves the panini with portabello mushroom that has beets and chevre, as well as the olive based one. definitely worth a go!

re: Emme
I love The Fighter so much that after I first tried it I got out my Champion Juicer and have recreated it at home. I take it to my fighting class and most people, especially the teacher, complain when I don't bring it! Very unique and tasty stuff! They just raised their prices a bit and also added a larger size for the juices.
They have a couple of sandwiches with chicken that I like, don't remember the names but pretty darned good. I keep meaning to try the salads too.
I wish that they were a bit more reasonable though as the juices $3.75 - $4.25 / 16oz. and $4.50 - $4.95 / 20oz. Add a large juice onto a sandwich or salad and it's a $14 casual lunch. They seem to cater to the surrounding studios/production companies, constant stream of runners making deliveries so the prices shouldn't surprise!
As far as the seating goes, it is limited but I always find a spot and eat there.
My only significant complaint is that they are not open on weekends. I also drove over there on July 3rd, a Thursday, and they were closed. I was not happy about the waste of gas!!!
