rec fish restaurant near 59th st bridge

midtownDiner123 Jul 11, 2008 02:55 AM

i need a rec for a casual evening dinner. quiet restaurant for allowing for good conversation.

atmosphere: i prefer a restaurant that's formal but comfortable, nice ambiance.

cuisine: looking for a menu with a variety of broiled fish options - sole, tilapia, salmon, shrimp - and some standard chicken or steak (second importance). between $12-18 per entree. any suggestions?

location: near 1st ave, near tram or 59th st bridge so no higher than 65th and no lower than 50th.

good service a must.

Dalga Seafood Grill -Wont be dissapointed! 401 East 62nd Street

You can also try Portifino which is on 1st ave between 63rd & 64th (their potato crusted sea bass is TO DIE for and they give you a free antipasto!)

these are awesome suggestions! i really like the sound of dalga.

turns out i'm not limited to the 59th st. bridge area and can pretty much find a place along the east side. i'd like to stick to 40-65th streets... any other recs now that it's a bit broader?

do you have suggestion for an asian restaurant?

Sure....Aja is nice, so is Fusha (theyre across the street from one another)...especially considering your price range...I've never been disapointed at either!
