Have just emptied my bottle of this delicious off-dry vinegar that also bears the wording "Solera 10" on its front label. Made by one of the leading producers of Montilla-Moriles, it's like a cross between sherry vinegar and balsamico. Great in vinaigrettes and marinades, on tomatoes, for use in deglazing pans, perking up sauces, reducing to a syrup and drizzling on seared foie gras, it's become a staple in my kitchen. Unfortunately, ExoFruits no longer carries it. Has anyone seen it around recently? Thanks!

The last time I saw it, was at Olives et Epices. I actually received a bottle a while ago as part of a gift basket and have used it quite a lot since then.

It ended up being a false alarm. Just back from shopping at ExoFruits. When I inquired about the vinegar, they said they had it. Sure enough, they did: on the top shelf (2+ m high, I'd guess, normally used for overstock) of the vinegar section and all bottles covered in a protective nylon netting that completely obscured the label. Anyway, I got my bottle. Just under $10 for 375 ml. Good to know there's an alternate source, though.
