A place to buy Carne Asada on the westside?

I am hosting a BBQ for 15 people this weekend (07/12/08) and want to grill up some carne asada. Is there anywhere on the westside that has GOOD carne asada? THANKS for your help!

Although traditionally nothing beats the carne asada at a really great carneceria, I was surprised at how good the carne asada was at Trader Joe's. It may get pricey for 15 guests though as the package is somewhat small. They also have a Pollo Asado that is always good for those who don't eat cow.

Vicente Foods in Brentwood has a great Carne Asada. They sell tons of it every day.

I was astounded at how good the carne asada was at Ralphs. Every once in a while a chain gets a recipe that's both perfect and replicable - like the whole chickens at Costco. This is comparable.

Oh my, surely you can't recommend that stuff?! Those Costco chickens are so greasy, just looking at them makes my insides revolt!

the Farms on Montana Avenue - great carne asada in their own marinade. I love it.

Ralph's actually has very good carne asada that is nicely marbled with fat. I usually get mine from the one on Olympic & Cloverfield. I make my own marinade consisting of orange juice, cilantro, onion, & seasoning salt and let it sit for about 48 hours.

I wonder if it's any different from Food 4 Less', they tend to have good Pollo Asado...

But for the MEAT, my favorite is Carneceria Sanchez... That is how we started our grilling season this year! :D

I have to second this. Friends brought carne asada from Ralph's to our July 4th grill party and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was.
