What is a good place near MoMa that four people can have a nice lunch at?

With literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from in MoMA's vicinity, it would helpful to have some specifics. Cuisine preferences? Casual or fancy? Per person budget for food only (alcoholic beverages, tax & tip additional)?

But to get you started, you can eat inside MoMA. There are 4 options: The Modern, The Bar Room at The Modern, Cafe 2 and Terrace 5.

Besides the Bar Room at the Modern, Maze at the London Hotel by Gordon Ramsay is an option. In fact I prefer the latter.

I second the Maze rec. Although the time I had lunch there it spanned an entire afternoon. It was delicious though and I also recommend the wine pairing option. Quite impressive. If you have the time after MOMA def. check it out.

That's so funny - I just ate at Cafe 2 at the MoMA and posted about it. I thought the food was delcious, but it's more "communal" dining. Bar Modern is great if you want more of a formal feel. Great food, very bustly. If you want to get outside of the MoMA and really indulge in something special, I'd walk the few extra blocks to BLT Market at the Ritz-Carlton on 59th street. Plus, you'll get nice views of Central Park.
