Best mojito in Miami?
Sorry to barrage the board! I figured it would be easier to post separate topics re: my Miami culinary fixations. This one is self-explanatory from the title -- what are folks' favorite mojitos in Miami? I gather the Sonesta's Panorama has a good view, but do the mojitos live up to it?

Panorama has a a good mojito. It might not be what one might call "the best" but Im no mojito expert either. The view definitely kicks ass though and it gives a unique look at the Grove Harbor and Key Biscayne off in the distance.
But didnt you say you were by the Convention Center in your other post? Miami Beach is about a 15 minute cab ride away from the Grove.

re: Blind Mind
I would think a homemade mojito, made to your own particular tastes. The ingredients are so simple that once you master the basic, you can experiment with flavoring. It all depends on how the good the "mudler" is on the other end of the "joystick" is to get the flavors out and mixed together.
It also can depend on the quality of the ingredients that are used. I have yet to say I have had an AMAZING mojito in a bar.
just my own opinion.

Agreed that homemade mojitos are better. My sister lived in Latin America for a while and got pretty good at making them, actually -- the one's she made for her 30th were very memorable. But I am in a hotel in Miami, so why not see what the bartenders can concoct? Thanks to everyone for their reccs. Tap Tap and Alfaro's look intriguing for sure. I have no idea of the geography of Miami, BTW, but am willing to travel for good food and drink!
