I am having problems getting a space to "post my reply." Sometimes I have to refresh a bunch of times, and when I don't, it literally can take 60 seconds or more to get the reply box.

Dana, that sounds like it might be general slowness from the site. I don't have a solution for the overall problem, but I can offer the suggestion that instead of refreshing the whole page, hit 'report', and then 'reply' again, when you're trying to get it to work. That should be faster, and hitting 'report' makes it switch to trying to generate a 'report' window instead of a 'reply' window, and then you can try to get the 'reply' window again, without reloading the whole page.

Can you try removing your current Chow.com and Chowhound.com cookies from your browser and then logging in again? That sometimes helps with problems like this.
