Sushi. Tonight. Help!

queen jord Jul 8, 2008 12:18 PM

Some relatives came into town today unexpectedly and want to go for sushi tonight. I know there are a ton of topics on this, but I’m in a jam and don’t have time to search properly, so I know you all can point me in the right direction!

I guess we’d like to spend around $50 a person, and some of us are adventurous sushi eaters while some aren’t. I would love to make a reservation, too, so a place that takes them would be helpful. I’m open to Culver City, Brentwood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills… help! Thanks in advance!

    Irori in Marina Del Rey.
Allows reservations at the sushi bar.
Nice atmosphere, fresh fish, great sushi (for the adventurous) and also cooked dishes (for the timid).

if you can, show up early at hide (unfortunately they do not take reservations). you can definitely stay within your $50pp mark there.

However, bear in mind that Hide is strictly cash-only... don't be caught embarrassed when it's time to settle the bill.

For those who need a bit of lettuce to top off their rice.

K-Zo in Culver CIty is always a good choice for an incoming class of Sushi Seniors AND the Freshmen.

For $50 per person without drinks at a table most places will work. How many people, and where (more specifically) and what kind of sushi eater are you and the relatives?

Most places that offer reservations don't offer them for the sushi bar itself, but you might get a table. I think Tama on Ventura takes reservations. Sorta out of your area, though
