I hear that the wine tour is amazing, but has anyone ever stayed there?

I have been on the tour and it is great. The lunch they put on is wonderful as well.

Sounds great :) I think I heard some people that ran the tour were better than others. Any ideas on who to ask for?

The tour of the property is run by employees of the Castello. Are you actually asking about tour companies who will drive you to the winery?

No, I was asking about which employees were the best! I heard somewhere that there was one guy who was really great.

The day we went, the tour was given by Gino Rosi and I cannot recommend him enough for his overall knowledge and respect for both the process and it's history. He was both charming and effective with people. He stayed with us for the meal and that was a great pleasure as well. He even offered his email to answer questions we might think of after the tour.

I implied that there was but one tour of the estate the day we went. Not true. We encountered a few others in the course of ours and I believe we all ended up in the same area for the meal. Based on everything I saw, Gino is the one you want.

I agree with the others about the wine tour, and property, view, etc. I didn't know that they had anywhere to stay.

I'm also interested in La Poggiolaia and Villa Il Pozza agriturismo stays if anyone has any thing to say bout' those?
