KC Recommendations in the Downtown Area

Hi:
My boyfriend and I will be in Kansas City for one day. We'd appreciate recommendations for breakfast and dinner, as we will be having lunch with some friends. We're staying at the Best Western Seville on the Plaza and would prefer to walk, if possible. Thanks!

Jardines Jazz is across from your hotel for drinks/music at night.
Walk to the Plaza (you are far from downtown KC). and enjoy some unusual treats..Eden Alley - Award Winning Vegetarian Cuisine (great desserts) in the basement of the Unity Temple. Which is neat in itself....

For breakfast, you can walk to the Classic Cup (Convenient, but I'm not a raving fan), on the Plaza.

one80 in Westport has a really tasty brunch (lots of breakfast items though) on Sat and Sun. Though the portions are small. The eggs Benedict are some of the best I've had. Mama's on 39th is the real deal kind of breakfast place but might be a little to far out of your way but I highly reccomend it.

How about Plaza III for dinner? Can't go wrong with a Kansas City Strip at one of the most vernerable steak restaurants in the city.
