Just substitute your own homemade beef broth into whatever you are making.

Thats what I use to deglaze the pan. Sorry, I sort of cook mine freestyle, so I dont have an exact recipe.

My secret to amazing stroganoff is tomato juice and sherry - those are the only two liquids I use. Cook about 4 hours. You'll never go back to any other recipe.

There's no beef broth or consomme in stroganoff! A classic stroganoff contains these ingredients: mustard, pinch of sugar, water, pinch of salt mixed to a paste, mushrooms, onions, beef and sour cream.

Brown mushrooms and onions in a bit of oil, cover and cook gently for 20 minutes, pouring away the resulting liquid. IN a separate skillet sear beef strips (I use sirloin) in batches, brown in all sides, and use a slotted spoon to transfer the meat to the mushrooms in the other skillet. Season with salt and pepper, mix in the mustard paste and stir in the sour cream. Cover, heat, stir and serve. That's it. No beef broth needed, flavor is robust without it.
