Famous Dave's please come to Calgary.

Went to Yellowstone last week. Ended up staying in Bozeman Montana across from Famous Dave's Southern BBQ joint. We went and had a platter that fed 2 adults and 2 tweens. For about $50.00

A full slab of St. Louis-style spareribs, a whole chicken, 1/2 lb. of either Texas beef brisket or Georgia chopped pork, coleslaw, Famous Fries, Wilbur Beans, four corn-on-the-cob, and four corn bread muffins. They had about 5 different sauces to use, they were all good.

Nothing....Nothing I repeat was bad. The corn bread was just like it should be, moist and sweet. Teh coleslaw was tasty, the beans were incredible. Everything was fast and efficient. I am not a huge fan of chains but I love Southern BBQ. Wish Famous Dave's would come to Calgary.

Sounds great, but if they did come to Calgary (or anywhere else in Canada I suspect) you can bet the price wouldn't be anywhere near $50. for all that.

True for two reasons: Those prices were over three years ago, and as we all know, prices in Canada are typically higher, though I will add if any US company came to Canada today I expect the price differential would be less than usual due to the strength of the Canadian $ in recent years.

I will second that. Went to one last week in Kennewick Washington and it was pretty darn good. Lots of food, everything done welland tasty, good value overall.

I'm sure it was good but aside from the "come to Calgary" I don't see how it belongs in the w canada section- it should IMO be in "chains."
