Need foolproof fried chicken recipe
Here's a pretty atraditional recipe that should satisfy. I admire youer amition in cooking for a crowd. It will take a while.It has to be cooked in batches so the oil doesn't cool off too much, and the cooked pieces will have to be kept warm until it's all ready to serve. BTW, I recommend heating the oil to 375 degrees, so it will cool down to a cooking temperature of 350 degrees. Have fun.
Inasmuch as I've never used hot red pepper sauce in my southern fried chicken I can't offer much in the way of endorsement for the foodnetwork.com recipe that was previously recommended.
