What kind of places are you looking to eat at? What do you enjoy? What do you want to spend? How many people?

Some of my stops along the way to south Jersey usually include: Menlo Park Diner, Edison; Skylark Diner, Edison; Moghul (Indian), Edison. There are so many places to recommend.

Skelly's Hi Point Pub in Absecon, NJ on Route 30 is a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner. Very casual, food very good.

The New York Times recently had an article on places to eat on N. J. T-pk and other N. J. highways. Within last 2-3 months.
