Persian restaurants london
i tried Mohsens recently and thought it was really nice, cello kababs especially ( and mirsa ghasemi). I'd love to find more persian restaurants in london. Any ideas?

Haven't been there in a while, but we always liked Simurgh in the Covent Garden area (Garrick St., I think). Excellent chello kebab, other dishes. Nice rices -- three different pilafs served with many of the mains. It was always our fallback when looking for a place for dinner on Sunday, followed by the jazz night at the Lamb and Flag just down the street.

There is a small, delightful, family-run restaurant in Fairfield Road in Wandsworth called Mary's. Very good value and BYOB. The rice dishes are excellent, particularly one with dried orange peel and pomegranate sauce, also the starters (I'm not an expert so can't remember the names of dishes).
It's nt easy to get to by tube but is near Wandsworht Town station and not far from Clapham Junction.›1 Reply -
A friend of mine recommends Sufi in Hammersmith.
