Well I've just got back from a disasterous brunch at Bistro Duluth. We hadn't really planned on brunch, just a nice drink on a shaded terrasse. We arrived around 2:45pm and got handed the brunch and main menus. Around 3:20 one of the 3 waitresses (only 6 tables were occupied) finally got around to taking our orders. Grilled calamari with vegetables & rice for my husband, french toast with fruit and bacon for me. 10 minutes later she's back with an apologetic 'sorry we don't serve brunch anymore, and you shouldn't have been given that menu'. I stated that we'd been there for 45 minutes, she says she'll see what she can do...
30 minutes later my plate turns up: 3 half maggot eaten strawberries, a wilted black trimmed lettuce leaf, a pasty slice of watermelon, french toast and NO bacon.
10 minutes late my husbands plate turns up, minus the rice. The waitress enquires if everythings to our liking, my strawberries go back to the kitchen. The manager arrives with 3 strawberries on a saucer telling me in a snooty fashion that THESE are Quebec strawberries, and maggot holes are the norm!!!

Never again...

Sounds like the service is as wonderful as ever, too. Do they still have the perpetual "waitress wanted" sign in the window?
