Tarpy's Roadhouse, Monterey
We are planning to have lunch there next week. Has anyone been there lately? If so, I'd appreciate your comments. Also do you know how far the Ventana wine tasting room is from Tarpy's.
Thanks...

Ventana tasting room is about 75 feet to the door of the Roadhouse.
They have some wines on the tasting list not found in Tarpy's.
The library 2001 Syrah is outstanding and may be no corkage in the restaurant.
We enjoyed the dry Rosado as well.

Thanks, Bruce for the heads up on the no corkage syrah. Any comments on the food at Tarpys?

Tarpy's is good reliable bistro fare. We like all three of the partner's places: Tarpy's, Rio Grill and Montrio. Tarpy's is out of the way, but I can definitely recommend it.

I'll second that. I, personally, would order them: Tarpy's, Rio Grill, Montrio. But that's just me. They're all good.
