Mesa Grill or Rao's??

We're going to the Bette Midler show and would like to eat at Caesar's. I know they are not the same cuisine but which do you like better? TIA, Linda

Actually, it's pretty easy to get into ANY restaurant in Las Vegas these days. Having said that, both have great food, with Mesa Grill having more of a buzz from being closer to the casino floor.

    2. I have been to LV Mesa Grill probably 10 times, Rao's once.

No question, Mesa Grill is the better place in Caesar's.

      1. Have to agree with Mesa Grill here - Bobby Flay built a reputation with some creative takes on Southwestern-themed ingredients, and successful restaurants in multiple locations. Rao's built a reputation for having a small place in Manhattan that was not easy to get into. The Rao's menu is pretty standard Italian/American that can be found in just about any city in the U.S., and even many small towns, and that makes it awfully difficult to support the price points they charge. Our experience was large portions of good, but no great, food. But was the Rao's reputation ever really about the food?

        1. I have to go with the majority here and say Mesa Grill. Rao's is good, but nothing memorable about it. Mesa Grill is definitely a more unique dining experience. And in addition to the food, Mesa has some wonderful cocktails.

          1. Mesa Grill is my favorite restaurant in LV, not just in Caesars. I agree with Sam and Mike that Raos is nothing memorable. Mesa has a much more creative menu and atmosphere.
