after midnight

scarmoza Jul 4, 2008 12:10 PM

We're putting together a google map of eateries open after midnight. Your contributions are appreciated. If you know how to use the google maps tool, this is an open collaboration - so please feel free to add locations on your own. If you don't want to fuss with the google maps tool, just post the eatery here in this thread and I'll add it when I can (but check the map first to make sure it's not already listed).

This little google map started out with just listings in my (San Francisco) neighborhood but now aspires to cover the globe. So don't hesitate to list your late night nosh anywhere in the world. Please remember to limit it to those locations where food can still be ordered after midnight.

You're awesome! Thank you!

Just repeating the search of the chow places records flagged as 'late night':

You know there is a limit on maps in Google, right?

Great idea, but it would be nice to have hours or a link the website with hours.

I did a map of wineries in Wine Country where I liked to the Chow Places record for more info. It saves me time of having to keep track of details on my maps. I can correct the Places records ... with lots others contributing info there.

I could list a few, but from your post, I'm not sure if you have any criteria for your listings. Do you want ANYTHING serving food beyond midnight? Would a 24-hour McDonald's apply?

No criteria as far as those things go. There are places I posted on there that I hesitated with because I'd never eat there due bad experiences in the past. Instead, I decided to put little notes in there stating my thoughts on place(s).

IMHO, 24 hour McDonald's should be in there.
