Cooks Seafood is very good but a little pricey--

Many of the Asian supermarkets in the area have a good selection of very fresh fish, some still swimming.

Marina or Ranch 99--both are in Foster City

My favorite would be a little further north of the cities named in the title of this top. Marina Food in San Mateo (not Foster City), take the Hillsdale exit east off of 101 and it's right there. Fast dinner is pick a fish from the seafood counter (I like the petrale sole or pompano), have 'em fry it for free, and serve with Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce and a salad on the side.
