I've been trying to find BYOBs in central jersey and I got a recommendation today to try out Lou Cas in Edison. I had never even heard of it before today. Has anyone ever been there? Is it worth trying it out?

oh yes!! I think it is good for the area. I think you will be pleased.

My husband loves the lobster there. I usually stick with a veal or chicken dish. I have tried the pasta there and it's good, but pasta is NOT my friend....I treat it like the enemy.

we adore lou cas and always make it a point to have our company holiday party there! another excellent byob in that area is lucas on rt 27 in north brunswick....not much to look at from the outside but the cuisine is worth the trip.

One of my favorites, good portions of excellently prepared food, and their seafood dishes are fresh and impeccable........service is professional

A trusted freind with a good palate lives near there and raves about it. I have never been. If I am not mistaken, they also are affiliated/own Ponte Vecchio (Italian for Old Bridge) on 516 in Old Bridge, NJ

Had dinner here with as a large party Sunday.
Have to say I was impressed!
The table was given a Raw Bar which was wonderful and Hot Appetizers that were also great! Almost everyone ordered seafood. The portions Huge, each dinner had enough food for 2-3 people, it was quite impressive!

              Service impeccable!
It has been a long time since an entire meal has exceeded my expectations.

Shabby, nice report on Loucas. Loucas and its sister restaurant Ponte Vecchio in Old Bridge are a rare combination of large very busy restaurants that still deliver excellent service, solid food, in a comfortable setting.
