Outdoor Mexican

Want to go out for dinner and drinks with a friend after work? Not too pricey and can sit outside. Any suggestions?

Agave, Mercadito Grove and La Palapa in the West Village

And of these, I'd go w/Mercadito Grove. Food is just OK at Agave and La Palapa Rockolla, and I've had some horrible service at Agave lately.
Rocking Horse in Chelsea also has outdoor seating.

Pampano has a terrace on the 2nd floor - on the more expensive side, but they might be amenable to your ordering appetizers and drinks. Great lobster tacos.

I don't know what neighborhood you are looking for (or price range), but one of our favorites is Gabriela's on the UWS (Columbus at 93/94). They have quite good food and excellent drinks with a lovely outdoor area.

I second El Rio Grande if margaritas are your first priority. But, I find the food boring and the equivalent of a chain type restaurant.
