I've read several descriptions of Attari's sandwiches that mention "pickles." Are these pickled cucumbers? If so, how much like cucumbers do they taste? Is it true they put cucumber in the water? I realize these are kind of strange questions, but I ask because I have a strong aversion to the taste and smell of fresh cucumbers. Thanks.

Really enjoyed my koo koo sabzi sandwich. As it turns out, the pickles did not taste particularly cucumbery, so I'll be getting my sandwiches with them in the future.
