Mediterranean Flames
88 2nd St San Francisco CA - San Francisco - (415) 896-5084

When our office moved to this neighborhood, in 2005, Flames was just burgers, fries, and that type of fair. In the last year or so, it has slowly added gyro's, shawrma, veggie platter, and then they started adding more middle eastern food and added to the signage "Mediterranean". It has been the same owner through the cuisine change (since 2005). He is experimenting with some new dishes, the chicken kabobs are fantastic, tender, juicy and flavorful. I love the changes, the burgers are still good, but the Mediterranean food is FANTASTIC! The owner is very nice and remembers his repeat customers and he will even ask when you try a new item, how you like it and what you like about it. He is interested in what his customers have to say. The line is often out the door on the sidewalk. It's not a great place to eat in, it's not arranged as well as it could be, but the take out is great. I do eat in the restaurant, but it's not good for groups.

Are the chicken kabobs served with garlic sauce?
