High-end Montreal Dinner on MONDAY??

phyllisw Jul 2, 2008 07:08 AM

Does anyone have any recommendations for a high-end (bringing a client out to dinner) restaurant in Montreal for a MONDAY night in a few weeks? It seems like a lot of the places suggested for nice dinners on this board are closed on Mondays. HELP!! And thanks!

Is Lemeac closed on Mondays? I wouldn't hesitate to take a client there.

There are a surprising number of restaurants open on Mondays, as I discovered a while back while trying to find a nice place for a small group dinner. Some options are Decca 77, Europea, Da Emma (maybe not as high end as you're looking for), Les Trois Petits Bouchons, Laloux, and of course L'Express. Lemeac is also indeed open Mondays.

I was very pleased with the service at Decca77 recently, it's open Mondays, and I think it'd make an excellent spot for a business dinner.

I went to Laloux on a recent monday night, the place is lovely and not too loud and the
          food was terrific

Went to Laloux last night for our 6th wedding anniversary and everything was fantastic. Service was very good and well paced, not too loud as previous poster said, and the food was excellent, especially the wonderful desserts created by Patrice Demers.

I'd also second L'Express & Laloux both are great.

I don't know if this is too late but I just took several people from out of town to Cafe Ferreira On monday and they seemed to enjoy it.

                Hello Phyllis,
I would strongly recommend M sur Masson, it is high end, amazing food, great service without the uppity feel to it.
However all the suggestions here are pretty great, make sure to get some reservations in too just in case and enjoy!

I like Garcon! on Sherbrooke near Peel and I'm fairly certain it's open on Monday.
