Looking for good food and jazz [London]

bellachow Jul 1, 2008 06:06 PM

I'm looking to organise a night out with a few friends to celebrate a birthday, and the guest of honour loves jazz. I'm returning to London after 7 years away so I am totally out of touch with the restaurant scene. I'm looking for a restaurant with live jazz, but also great food. Location and cuisine are not important - just quality of food and music!

Any suggestions?

The gold standard in London has to be Ronnie Scott's especially in its smoke free and and recently refurbished incarnation(new owners I believe). I was there a few months back for the jazz and the food was a huge improvement over my previous visits. great jazz, good food

And there's always Pizza on the park - Consistently good jazz and pretty good food.

Not sure of any others who can deliver both consistently.

On a side note my favorite Jazz and food spot is on the other side of the pond - Blue Smoke/Jazz Standard
