Hot Dawg Truck, East Garden City, LI
Is this place still open? It's right near Lowe's? The website is no more and the phone number on yelp.com is incorrect?

Do you like this place? I don't understand why it gets such good reviews. People seem to praise it because it has unique and unusual toppings - so what. The toppings aren't that good. The chili had no spice. The guacamole has no flavor. The dogs are boiled here - I prefer grilled or fried hot dogs. They are served on a decent bun though. I just thought everything was bland. ther eis a truck on the side of teh LIE service road - in either Plainview or Melville that serves very tasty hot dogs.

That's what *I've* been saying!!! Though, I think they have grilled dogs, if requested.
Still, to me, it should be the dog that stands out, not junk you pile onto it.
I've heard good things about the San Antonio Bakery in Valley Stream, and La Brasa in Lake Ronkonkoma, though I've yet to give them a try.
