Alphonse Mollet Sancerre
First off, it's Mellot (not Mollet), so that might be part of the problem. There is a web site, which I've listed below. In short, in my experience, Mellot is a consistent and very good producer of Sancerre. The "La Moussiere" is probably the Sancerre producer I will go to first if given a choice. I find the wines to show more of a balance between mineral and ruit, whereas some other Sancerre wines can be a bit too much in the gooseberry and grapefruit profiles.
Mellot also makes a "La Moussiere" Sancerre Rose, a "La Moussiere" Sancerre Rouge, and a "Generation XIX" Sancerre.

Thanks for correcting my spelling error. Of course you're right--that was the problem. I found a case online at a store fairly near. Thanks for your help. I do hope it tastes as good at home as it did in the restaurant. This wine was unsual in its balance between flint and fruit, as you point out. Good stuff.
