Went to Red Rooster in Brewster, NY this weekend. I was excited as I pulled up because the place was cool looking and crowded. I love good road food... burgers, dogs, fries, etc. I was dissappointed on all fronts by this place. The food is on par with a swim club snack bar... maybe even not as good. The burger was tiny and forgettable. 7-11 has better hot dogs. I think the only redeeming thing about this place may be that it's a good place to take kids. Didn't try the ice cream or milkshakes... not really my thing. But if you're looking for a tasty burger, and a hot dog that has that "snap" to it... look elsewhere. It's kind of disheartening that there are no great fast food burger spots in Westchester/Putnam. If anyone knows of any (not Little Spot in NWP) please let me know.

  1. I haven't been there in a while, but I like the Red Rooster. I think their hot dogs & milkshakes are pretty good. I don't particularly care for hot dogs with casing, so that may be the difference. Personally, I've never had a 7-11 hot dog and likely wouldn't try one unless I was literally dying from starvation.

It's ever-so-slightly outside of Westchester, but Burger Shakes & Fries in Byram, CT has a great burger.
