Team Business Dinner in Houston

My team at work has an upcoming trip to Houston. We are a remote team, so it is rare that we are all in the same spot at the same time. Want to have a nice evening together - any good recommendations for dinner? We are looking for:

1. Semi-casual but still nice enough for a special occasion
2. Moderate price range
3. Delicious food that appeals to many palates
4. Good wine selection
5. Areas - anything easily accessible from the Galleria area where we're staying

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks everyone.

15-20 minutes away from the Galleria, you might consider Grappino's Restaurant (Italian) (behind Nino's and Vincent's). In Grappino's, their is a wine room in the back of the bar/rest that is used to host small meetings (I've used for this purpose) accommadating up to 15-20 attendees or so. Its cozy,, far away from the noise to cut down on the distractions,, nice menu and wine list. Terrific setting! Thurs-Fri-Sat they usually have a small live band up front that attracts a nice crowd. You'll def have to call ahead to reserve this room but well worth it!

Just up the road on West Gray you might also consider La Jadeite. Asian is the theme but there is something for everyone. Over the top decor,, the food is excellent.
Try the Beef Short Ribs,, I promise,, you'll never forget this dish! I believe the former owner/chef at the now defunct Aldo's on lower Westheimer played some part in ownership or menu selections. They do have a pvt room in the back used for group business/personal functions.

I would either do Catalan for its great wine list and small plates menu or Dolce Vita for everything from the appetizers/sides to the pizza and specials. I have always had wines by the glass and was very happy with my selection here. Catalan might be pushing the $80 range. Dolce Vita can easily be done at $70.
In the galleria Arturos is an option and so is a new place called Gigi's asian bistro. Gigi's is right next to Del Friscos and they focus their attention on SE asian/Chinese cousine. Its not cheap but its certainly something different on the high end of things. I think, depending on how much you guys drink that you can easily do it for $70-80.

I would check out Arcodoro - fantastic authentic Italian place in the Galleria area (assuming Italian meets your criteria of appealing to many palates). It's definitely nice enough for a special occasion but not so dressy where jeans are out of place. And the food is phenomenal.
