Help w/Business Lunch Tomorrow

I am new to the business lunch and need to make a reservation for tomorrow. I was hoping for someplace downtown, either Metro Center area or Penn Quarter. Central would have my my ideal spot, but it's booked up. How are Brasserie Beck, Proof or Vidalia for lunch? Any other suggestions in that area/price range?

Thanks! I made a reservation at PS 7. I was really leaning towards Proof, but I'd like to order wine when I go and I don't think this is really the venue. Any recs on what to order at PS7?

I've only eaten at the bar, but the drinks are top notch, as are the risotto balls. Report back - I'd love to have a real meal there!

Everything I've had there has been excellent, but the stand-out dish last time I went was a braised rabbit appetizer. I also love the risotto and beef short ribs, though they change their menu frequently so I don't now if these will still be on the menu. And if you get a dessert, the mini doughnuts are very good.

I'd vote for Ten Penh (great food and not noisy).

I think mezze might be awkward for a business lunch?

I seem to be forgetting about Ten Penh these days...but another good choice.

I also agree about tapas being kind of weird for a business lunch.

I always liked Zaytinya for a work lunch, it's not crazy-loud at that time of day, bright and airy and if your companion has dietary restrictions there are tons of options and alternatives.

I think both Proof and Brasserie Beck would be good choices. Other options near Metro Center/Penn Quarter would be Butterfield 9, Ceiba, and PS7.

Ok strike Butterfield 9...apparently it has closed :( Too bad because it was the perfect business lunch place.

I second PS7s for a work lunch. It's not noisy (Proof and Beck can be sometimes) and has excellent food in a nice atmosphere.
