My favourite ham sandwich-- though I'm by no means an expert-- is at The Only, the Club Amsterdam sandwich. It's really nothing fancy, ham, red onion, egg, paprika, and cheese... somehow it's really tasty though.

I'm thinking this is the place Manybears is talking about. Fun, funky neighbourhood staple for well over a decade now.

That's the one-- thanks Mila. And the "cheese" I mentioned above is Gouda. Like I said, really nothing fancy at all, but still a decent ham sammich.

Not a classic ham sandwich, but the Cubano at Delux (containing ham, roast pork, emmenthal, grainy mustard, and cornichons, all lovingly pressed together in a sandwich press) is delectable. I highly recommend it.

It's not on the menu everyday but I recently had a ham and cheese sandwich from JK's Gilead Cafe that I posted about - impeccable ingredients, perfect taste.
