We passed Barolo Italian restaurant this afternoon. The garden looked lovely and the menu sounded great. If you have tried it, how is it? Also, how are the prices of entrees? I can't find the prices anywhere! Thank you.

The garden is about the only thing Barolo has going for it. Overpriced, mediocre food, (one of the worst, blandest meals I ever ate was what sounded like a terrific lasagna on the menu) astonishingly rude service. It used to get by because it was a scene. Except for tourists, I have no idea how it still survives.

Can anyone recommend a place with a great garden like Barolo but with good food. We would be interested in any type of food with good atmosphere, and vegetarian options for a Friday night dinner.

Barolo's patio is really great in the summer. Its buzzing with people, huge and its in the back so its away from the street. The food wasn't bad, I went pretty simple and had the rigatoni which was pretty solid. Some of my dinner mates didn't love their pastas though. This place definately seems to be all about the patio and not so much the food.
