Fine Dining in Milan

Hi,
I shall be in Milan for one night in mid-August and wanted to know where is considered the finest place to dine there. Price is not an issue and I am open to any type of cuisine.

One issue is that I may be there on a Sunday night, Are most high-end places still open for Sunday dinner?

Grazie!

  1. Hardly any place is open on Sunday in Milan and a lot are even closed on Saturday. The highest rated place is Cracco (92 in Gambero Rosso). The only restaurant in GR with a score over 80 that is open on Sunday is Acanto, www.hotelprincipedisavoia.com, with 81.

Otherwise the heavy hitters in Milan are Sadler, Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia, Joia, and Trussardi alla Scala. I would also look at www.viamichelin.com.

      Thanks mbfant,
Cracco was the one I had in mind all along. It's a shame I think I can only do Sunday night!
Acanto is in a Dorchester hotel and they usually house pretty high quality restaurants, so that maybe the best option.
      Grazie mille!

    2. My suggestions, among the few open on Sunday for dinner, are two:
CASA TUA, a nice true "osteria"; its website is www.casatuaosteria.com
OSTERIA DEL TRENO, a nice tre "osteria" with many foods coming from the protected foods of slow food; its location is between the main railway station and Piazza della Repubblica, the square with several of the best five stars hotels in Milan; its website is www.osteriadeltreno.it .

      Ciao.
