Delicious Oyster Appetizer

Hi all,

When my husband and I visited New Orleans last year we had this amazing oyster appetizer that the Crawfish Bake company had made, I recreated it at home and let me tell you, to die for!

2 dozen oysters
1/2 stick salted butter
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 cup grated parmigana cheese
seasalt, freshly crushed

Preheat grill to medium high.

Use a mortar and pestle to cream 1/2 stick of butter and 2 pressed garlic cloves.

Place a 1/2 tsp of the garlic butter onto a shucked and cleaned oyster.

Add a little bit of seasalt then a pinch or two of grated parmigana cheese.

Set on grill, close cover and cook for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling.

Serve immediately!

That recipe originated at Drago's in New Orleans and is sooooo good that every place in town offers a version of it.
Here's another recipe with a link to the recipe that Drago's gives out, although Drago's secret may be the huge open grills right as you walk into their restaurant in Metarie.
