Anyone have a rec for good donuts near Bethel or Danbury? Just moved here and need a fix!

A dollar each? It was last fall when I was there, and they seemed good.

Doesn't sound like they're worth a special trip.

I tried to call Salinger's today -- and I think they've closed. There were no signs on 684 on Sunday (at their exit) and the phone rang 10thousand times.

Can any one confirm that they still exist?

You scared me! But yes, they still exist - just called them, open 9-5:30 this weekend. LOVE their donuts!

Not too near, but Salinger's Orchard in Brewster NY has good donuts, and Dottie's Diner in Woodbury...

That's it....formerly Phillip's now Dottie's Diner in Woodbury, by way of Southbury.

        I 'almost' got it!

But the donuts are THE best.

They are so good. Now I have to get out to Reinwald's in Huntington LI for some also excellent...

Southbury is my choice. Can't remember the name, the place is a diner and has outstanding donuts.

I always get their day old and freeze them.
